Get ready for some kid-friendly fun! I’ve been staying home with my twin girls since they were two years old. Since then, we have started to go on periodic little morning or afternoon trips while their dad is at work. It may be to a different park, off the beaten path destination, or a picnic in a deserted location. These excursions were dubbed Girls Adventures by my girls early on, and the name has stuck. As my girls have gotten older, they ask to go on a Girls Adventure and help make a list of things they’d like to do and places they’d like to visit. Of course, these trips aren’t just for girls, both boys and girls of all ages will have fun on these little trips.
You may not be able to make it to our little corner of Iowa to go on the same Girls Adventures, so get creative. Find joy in the simple things, don’t be afraid to get a little dirty, and use your imagination as you explore your area. It doesn’t matter if you live in a remote, rural, city, or other geographic area. An adventure is right around the corner!
